Sponsor: – DRUMMOND GOLF – OSBORNE PARK

  •         STEVE POTTER – 7 bottles of wine

WAGC, WAVGA Golf RESULTS:

Another day of really good golfing weather, a couple of light showers late in the day.

Scores for the day were very good with 38 players with 30 points or more.

John Ryan had a great day with 36 points off a 4 handicap and Peter King, with 36, won the OBE for the day. Neil Munro won the overall for the day with 39 points on a countback from Andrew Jappy.

Our thanks to Steve Potter for the bottles of wine for each grade winner and each NTP winner. The bottles of wine were presented if the winner was at the presentation, if not, it went to the next best.

Yvonne Turner also picked up a bottle of wine for the ladies best second shot on the long number 1. Yvonne drove the green from around 180 metres. A great shot.

The registration desk was run by Charlie Lancey and Graham Bourgault, with 93 members competing on the day.

“IF PROFANITY HAD AN INFLUENCE ON THE FLIGHT OF THE BALL, GOLF WOULD BE MUCH EASIER THAN THIS”

  • Overall winner for a $100 Drummond gift certificate was Neil Munro with 39 points;
  • Gross winner was John Ryan with 32 points.
  • NTPs for a $10 credit were: –
    • Hole 1, ladies best 2nd: Yvonne Turner;
