Rockingham G. C., WAVGA Golf RESULTS: 

47 of the competitors scored 30 points or more out of a disappointing field of 64, an indicator of how good a day it was. Fine weather on a golf course in top condition.

Thanks to Ron Ross for handling the registration desk, as efficient as usual.

Our sponsors for the day were vets’ members Warren Howard and Brendan Curtin, a big thanks to them.

As a part of the sponsorship the prizes were adjusted from our normal arrangement.

Overall winner received a $100 Drummond gift certificate with a $75 Drummond voucher for the grade winners. Each winner could only win one prize.

There was also a $50 Drummond voucher for the median score, the field mid-point score. As we had an even number the prize was split between Mark Petterson and Kath Fordham, who both had 33 points.

Other results were:

• Overall winner for a $100 Drummond gift certificate was Derek Smart with 41 points;
• Gross winner was Chuck MacFarlane with 31 points.
• A grade winner for a $75 voucher was Peter Humphry with 40 points;
• B grade winner for a $75 voucher was Ken Carson with 38 points;
• NTPs for a $10 credit were: –
  • Hole 3: Barry Judge;
  • Hole 8: Tony Giogio;
  • Hole 12: Steve Potter;
  • Hole 15: Teresa Smart; and
  • Super pin, Hole 12 for $52: John Ramshaw.

Steve Potter was the OBE with a score of 37 points.
