WAVGA
The Western Australian Veteran Golfers Association Inc. was founded in 1982 and became affiliated with the Australian Veteran Golfers Union, embracing veteran golfers throughout Australia.
Our aim is to foster good fellowship through a common golfing interest embraced by our membership.
Our association is for both male and female members. Once you are aged 55 or over, are an amateur golfer with an AGA handicap and a financial and regular competition playing member of a WAGA affiliated metropolitan, suburban or country golf club, you are eligible to join the “Vets”. Nominate through your club representative or complete our online application form here with an initial fee of $110.00. This covers the joining fee of $60, badge, and the annual membership subscription of $50. The golfing season commences on the first week of February with weekly games, mostly on Mondays, through to the first week of December. All our competitions are run as mixed events, mainly stableford but with a few others thrown into the mix. Annual golf tours are conducted to country areas throughout the year with golf at some of the most exciting courses in W.A.
The Country Veteran Golfers Association conducts monthly golf competitions and operates in the South West area of the State.
